Welcome! We at Nueces County Public Library believe it is essential for us to acknowledge veterans and their families. You volunteered to lay down your lives to preserve our way of life, and we strongly value your contributions through your military service. NCPL desires to serve as an advocate for military personnel, veterans, and their families in Nueces County and surrounding counties.

This forum provides organization-wide and local resources to assist and support active-duty military, veterans, and their dependents. These resources will help guide you to information such as: how to apply for benefits, compensation, pension, medical, educational, careers, and insurance. Our services are dedicated to getting you the information that is best suited for you and your family!

Nueces County Veterans and Social Services

 

Nueces County Veterans and Social Services assists veterans and their survivors deal with the often confusing and overwhelming task of completing the correct forms/applications and collecting the appropriate documentation to support a claim for federal benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). If VA denies benefits, staff will assist clients compose the necessary statements and forms in filing an appeal. In addition, the department provides direct client services to include; financial assistance with rent/mortgage, utilities, food, transportation, and indigent burials or cremations.
