The Children's Department of Nueces County Public Libraries serves the recreational reading and research needs of children and young adults, ages birth to 12 years, with a collection of over 30,000 books and audio CDs, including items in Spanish and bilingual (English/Spanish) books. Children's DVDs are also available.

Print Book, Meet Audio Book.

Family Place Workshop

Nueces County Public Libraries is a certified Family Place location where trained staff organize and provide a free five-week workshop for parents/caregivers and their children aged birth to five years old, with an emphasis on birth to three years old. Each week introduces a resource professional for families to use in order to build personal relationships, make friends, and play with their loved ones.
