Register for our Winter Reading Challenge, which starts December 1, 2025 and ends January 31, 2026.

Program Details

  •  Sign up at the library or ONLINE
    • Enroll on ReadSquared.
    • Select the Winter Age Program
    • Library card is required to participate

·  Log reading books from any reading format, from books to audiobooks, or reading aloud with your family

·  To complete the program and earn a raffle, books must be read between dates December 1, 2025 - January 31, 2026.  Adults (ages 18+): 

  • It's simple: read or listen to books, magazines, or graphic novels from December 1st – January 31st. Log your time spent reading right here on ReadSquared. Once you've logged 300, you are eligiblie to purchase a raffle entry!

    Whether you’re tucked into a blanket at home or perched in a chair at the airport, the holiday season is the perfect time to catch up on your reading. This year, the Nueces County Public Libraries invites you to join our Adult Winter Reading Program.

    It’s simple, adults can log their reading in our online portal, ReadSquared.

    And you can read whatever you want! Books, audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines-if it’s got words, it counts. Read a book to your grandchild? Log it. Listened to an audiobook on your drive to your destination? Log it. Finally got your hands on the new bestseller? Log it!

*1 Book = 1 Point*

Completion: Read 2,000 minutes to be entered in a drawing for a Book Bundle! You can still earn points when you complete 2,000 minutes.

Incentive: Earn a raffle entry for every 5 hours of reading, with up to five entries total per book bundle.

Drawing will be held on February 2nd, 2026 and we will call the winner.
